Scary Events Ahead for Halloween and Day of the Dead
at the Oakland Public Library

( Oakland, CA)—The Oakland Public Library has treats (and no tricks) that are sure to entertain little goblins and ghouls throughout the month of October. Whether it’s creating Day of the Dead folk art to honor your loved ones or listening to ghostly tales that cast a shiver down your spine, the Oakland Public Library is the place to be as the days grow shorter and cooler and dead leaves swirl and crunch under foot! Check out the following free events.

Making Day of the Dead Folk Art
Children will make Indo-Hispanic folk art which can appear on many Day of the Dead Altars.
