Eastmont Branch Library Celebrates Ten Years in Current Facility with Open House ***************************************************************************************************************************************** Featured entertainment includes poets Luella Dudley, David Smith, and Danjuma. Jacqueline McBride and Sharon Vaughn will sing. Praise dancers, Mexican Ballet Folklorico, and the Sun Drummers Ensemble will round out a full program of events. The Eastmont Branch originally opened in 1945 on the corner of Parker and MacArthur Blvd. In 1983, the Baymont and Eastmont branches were consolidated in a 500-square foot kiosk in the Eastmont Mall. With a growing clientele, the current full-service, 9500 square foot branch opened in the re-named Eastmont Town Center on October 5, 1998.
