Meet and Ride with author Elly Blue!

Read a book, ride a bike, and help make Oakland a better place!

Oakland Public Library has joined the Book to Action program, a California statewide book club that includes helping your community. We are reading Everyday Bicycling by Elly Blue, and you can meet her on Saturday, May 10, 2014!

Join Elly at our Chavez Branch at 10:15AM for some tips on group rides, then ride with Elly up the beautiful Bay Trail to the 81st Avenue Branch, where she will give a talk at noon.

At the event, you will have the chance to buy a copy of Everyday Bicycling and Elly's other books about biking and get her autograph.

A light lunch will be provided, courtesy of the Friends of the Oakland Public Library.
