The Malonga Center Community Ancestral Installation - If you have never been to “the Malonga” you’re missing out on a historical Oakland jewel. The Malonga Center Community Installation pays homage to the late Malonga and other dearly departed artists who enriched the Bay Area’scultural landscape at the Malonga.

Deeply moved by this

Deeply moved by this beautiful and sacred ancestral tribute to the Malonga Center community and my father, Malonga Casquelourd. Very pleased that the Oakland Public Library would partner with powerful change agent #KongoSQWest and offer its platform to elevate the voices and stories that make Oakland so special. I look to forward to more dynamic and meaningful programming such as this at OPL.
