Our King: Interpreting Images of an Iconic Leader

Join us for Our King: Interpreting Images of an Iconic Leader (a slide-illustrated presentation) as AAMLO’s Chief Curator Bamidele Demerson leads a journey across the country to artists’ studios, public parks, courtyards, and plazas that feature depictions of MLK by African American sculptors and painters. Our dialogue will focus on the political motivations that fueled provocative images made by the featured artists.
