OFFICE YOGA with Sandy Blaine
Sandy Blaine will use her 20 years of yoga teaching experience to help you learn a variety of simple, "user-friendly" stretches and movements that can be done at your desk to help prevent and/or counteract the ill effects of long days sitting and computer work.
Wear your regular clothes and bring a "yoga strap" or an old necktie or bathrobe sash, or even a hand towel. (This is a Low-Tech class.)
Office Yoga is primarily preventive, and not recommended for people with currently symptomatic Repetative Stress Injury issues.
Sandy Blaine has worked extensively in the workplace wellness field. She has taught classes and spoken on taking care of yourself at work for Pixar, Google, Kaiser, Jive Software and other companies. Her two books on yoga, Yoga for Computer Users: Healthy Necks, Shoulders, Wrists, and Hands in the Postmodern Age and Yoga for Healthy Knees are both in the Oakland Public Library.
