Color the Town: Oakland Library Coloring Book Release Party!

Image of Color the Town OPL logo

Have you ever met the author of a coloring book?

Artist Rad Sanza will be on hand to sign copies of Color the Town: The Oakland Public Library Coloring Book. We'll have a limited number of free coloring books to give away, and some large pages we can all color together.

People of all ages will enjoy this fun celebration of coloring, and the Oakland Library.

There will be snacks!

Rad Sanza is one of Oakland Public Library’s many talented staff members. He is the illustrator of a brand new coloring book featuring detailed art that showcases each of OPL’s beautiful libraries. Both children and adults can paint the town red, (or whatever their favorite color) when Color the Town is released this September! A native of Oakland, Rad’s cartoon illustrations utilize a combination of modern and traditional art techniques. His work can be seen on Oakland’s Summer Reading logs, as well as at the End of Summer Party at the Oakland Museum of California. See more of Rad’s art at radtoons.wordpress.com
