Lift Every Voice - Youth advocacy writing and art workshops

Megaphone

Lift Every Voice (LEV) is an art program, facilitated and founded by Bay Area youth, that aims to bring young people from diverse backgrounds together in weekly art and conversation workshops.

The primary focus will be to create writing and art that elevates the voices of youth whose lives have been affected by the juvenile justice system, and to advocate for the abolition of juvenile incarceration.

LEV's founder, Leila Mottley, is a sophmore at Oakland School of the Arts and Oakland's 2017 Vice Youth Poet Laureate.

More information about LEV can be found here.
