Live Painting Sessions with Artist Leon Kennedy

Leon Kennedy's Faces on a Flag image

Leon Kennedy has created art for more than fifty years in various media, including found materials from the streets of Oakland. He has been an artist in residence at the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum owns one of his pieces. We're hosting three live painting sessions with Mr. Kennedy so that you can see his artistic process:

  • Main Library: Sunday, 1/12 at 3 PM
  • West Branch: Tuesday, 1/14 at 5 PM
  • 81st Avenue Branch: Saturday, 1/18 at 2 PM
