Solar Eclipse Lecture and Information

Image of Eclipse

On the morning of August 21st there will be a rare event, a total eclipse of the sun in parts of the U.S.  In the Bay Area that morning, 76% of the sun will be covered by the moon.

Join Andrew Fraknoi, Chair of the Astronomy program at Foothill College, to learn more about the eclipse.

The lecture will include activities families can do at home and free glasses for viewing the eclipse safely. Ages 9 and up preferred.

Stay tuned for more information about safe viewing parties on August 21st at the Main Library.
