Library branches will be closed on Monday, January 20 for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The African American Museum & Library at Oakland (AAMLO) will remain open regular business hours (10 AM - 5:30 PM) on January 20 for its annual film festival.
Telling Temescal Tales. Part II
Come and be among the first group of community members to contribute a story related to the Temescal District that will become part of the legacy of the branch's second century of service to the city. Your story will be included in the Temescal Branch library's Jeff Norman Archive. You'll be able to write whatever you'd like about an experience in the Temescal District, a memory related to the neighborhood or anything about your life if you've spent any time in the neighborhood. The recollections will be curated by long-time area resident Leonora Sea and she will be on hand to help get the recollections down on paper.
This is part of story gathering program as part of the recognition of the first year of the second century of service to the community by the Temescal Branch Library.
