"Where the Guns Go" : Screening & Discussion

Title Still from "Where the Guns Go"

Come see a screening of  "Where the Guns Go: U. S. Policy and Human Rights in Mexico," a locally produced documentary sponsored by the Wage Peace campaign of the American Friends Service Committee.

The film illustrates how weapons and other resources provided by the U.S. government to Mexican authorities end up abetting atrocities underway by the drug-smuggling cartels just south of the border.

Following the film, Abad Leyva of Encinal Oakland, producer of the film, and John Lindsay-Poland of the Wage Peace campaign will lead a discussion of the film, the campaign to end the violence in Mexico & some of the tragic costs of our current illicit drug interdiction policies.

Co-sponsored by Wage Peace, American Friends Service Committee.

The English-language version of the film will be shown. A Spanish-language version will be available to show, too, by request of the audience.
