Join the Oakland Library for a screening of the new documentary feature, Evolutionary Blues: West Oakland’s Music Legacy!

The documentary film traces the long musical history of blues music in West Oakland and features photographs and video footage taken from the historical collections at OPL’s African American Museum & Library at Oakland and the Oakland History Room.

The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion on the historic legacy of blues in Oakland and a talk from the filmaker, Cheryl Fabio.
