About the Lakeview Branch
Lakeview has approximately 35,000 books, compact disks, videos, DVDs, audio books, audiocassettes, and magazines and newspapers for all age. Circulating materials are largely of popular interest, with a strong emphasis on best sellers and Books on Tape and Books on CD. The Books on Tape and Books on CD collection isone of the largest in the branches. The magazine collection is sizeable and there is one Chinese language newspaper.
The branch is equipped with four computers with Internet access for public use.

Currently on Exhibit
The April Lakeview Art Exhibit features A Survey of Landscape + Architecture + Caligraphy by painter, Alan Leon. These works are in watercolor, acrylic and ink and include pieces from seven different series of work over the last 25 years.
Alan Leon is a lover of form, color, and observation. He is a yoga insructor and a public artist/muraist. In 2011 and 2012 he created the murals, Temescal Flows, on the highway structures near 52nd Street and Shattuck Avenue.
