Melani Tormos, who creates her pieces with acrylic paint and paper-mache', works and play as a visual artist, dreamtime innovator, soul medicine guide and techyogi whose secret weapons include balance, stealth and the ability to be a excellent listener.
Nanci Price Scoular, who uses acrylic paint and mixed media on canvas, is a San Francisco-based visual artist and creative coach whose artwork weaves together her North American experience and her South African roots.
Green anole lizards can regenerate their tails; they can lose a tail and regrow a new one.
The Merriam Webster dictionary defines regeneration as "restoration of a body, bodily part, or biological System..." Or "spiritual renewal..."
The origin of the word regeneration comes from the Latin word "regenerare," which means "create again."
How does one create again? How do we grow new parts of ourselves?
When we create again, we are confronted with processes of growth, healing, renewal--phases of movement in which we release the past and draw from rich memories and experiences that shape our intentions for something different...We re-create, we grow stronger, we begin again.
Observe regeneration through the lenses of three artists. What might it mean through your lens?
