Let's Talk Black Migrations: Open Forum

Attendees of the convention of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters with suit

What's your family story? During the Great Migration thousands of African Americans moved to the Bay Area in search of social and economic mobility. Come out to share your family's journey to Oakland and to hear others' stories. Our Black History Month Oral History project will inclue an opportunity to learn about conducting oral history interviews and preserve your family history.
