Field Trip to East Bay Regional Parks

Explore the natural wonders in our own backyard! Join a Naturalist-led tour to discover wonders just outside the doors of your favorite library branch. 

 

We are partnering with the East Bay Regional Park District for a series of field trips this fall. Meet at the library for a short discussion at then take a free shuttle to the Park for a Naturalist-led walk! Light refreshments will be provided.  

RSVP required; space is limited. All ages are welcome, children should be accompanied by a responsible adult. 

 Additional trips in 2019:

Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Noon – Asian branch visits Tilden Nature Area/Little Farm, return approximately 3:45 pm. This trip is wheelchair and stroller friendly. This program will be in Cantonese and English. Tip: bring celery or lettuce if you want to feed the animals at the Little Farm. Wear sturdy shoes and sun protection. RSVP: 510-238-3400

Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Noon – 81st Ave branch visits Coyote Hills and Tuibun Ohlone Village Site, return approximately 4:00 pm. This trip is wheelchair and stroller friendly. Tip: wear sturdy shoes and sun protection. RSVP: 510-615-5812

Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 1:00 pm - César E. Chávez branch library visits Crab Cove, return approximately 4:15 pm. This trip is wheelchair and stroller friendly. This program will be in Spanish and English. RSVP: 510-535-5620

Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Noon – Main Library visits Redwood Regional Park, return approximately 3:30 pm. This hike is not recommended for users of wheelchairs or strollers. Tip: wear sturdy shoes and sun protection. RSVP: 510-238-3138
