This event has been cancelled. We hope to reschedule in late spring.

April is Jazz Appreciation Month!

The Golden Gate Branch will soon begin our 30th (!) year of Jazz On Sunday concerts. Michael Jones has served as the Music Director for the Golden Gate Library Summer Concert and Jam Session series for most of that time!

Michael Jones is a bassist and band leader based in the Bay Area for over thirty years who plays acoustic music in the fine tradition of Jazz and Blues. After studying music at the University of Northern Colorado, Michael migrated to the San Francisco Bay Area in the mid 1970’s where he has had the pleasure of playing with many icons including Al Tanner, Faye Carroll, Ed Kelley, Donald (Duck) Bailey, Pharoah Sanders, Deniece Perrier, Calvin Keyes, and Buddy Montgomery to name a few.

This program (and all Jazz on Sunday programs) was funded and made possible by the Friends of the Golden Gate Branch Library.
