Golden Gate Local Collection Book Launch

Image advertising Golden Gate Local Collection Book Launch

Join us to celebrate the new Golden Gate Local Collection!

This place-based reference series is the heart of Commons Archive. Each title includes many materials that were, up until now, stored in basements, locked in file cabinets and forgotten boxes. This new collection honors the diverse histories of this North Oakland neighborhood.

Listen to stories from long-time residents, area historians, and performances by neighborhood musicians! AAMLO curator Bamidele Agbasegbe-Demerson, as well as former AAMLO curator Susan Anderson, will illuminate the connection between Golden Gate, the East Bay Negro Historical Society, and AAMLO.

Treats and refreshments provided.

This program is co-sponsored by Commons Archive www.commonsarchive.net
