Broken Hearts Party and Shrine of Broken Hearts Gallery Opening for Teens and Adults
February 14th is Valentine's Day, which makes Febuary 13th is the perfect day to purge past broken hearts.
Shrine of Broken Hearts Gallery
Have an item you've held on to and just can't let go of because of its connection to an ex? Tell us why and share with your community to help heal their wounds while healing your own. Broken hearts are no joke!
Contribute your ex-relationship memorabilia to this pop-up museum by bringing it to Mana Tominaga (1st Floor, Reference) or Sharon McKellar (2nd Floor, TeenZone) at the Main Library anytime before Tuesday February 11th. On-the-spot contributions are also welcome at the party on the 13th.
- Your name (as you want it displayed)
- Your contact information (required if you'd like the artifact back)
- The name of the artifact
- A little bit about the significance of the artifact
- A note that lets us know if we can include a photo and description of the artifact in the zine
All of these items will be displayed at the Main Library for the month of February. At the end of the month you can have your item returned or we will purge it for you.
Broken Hearts Party
Join us at the reception and party to view the Shrine of Broken Hearts and enjoy some broken heart themed snacks, games, crafts, and more!
We'll be co-creating a Zine of Broken Hearts that will be added to the library's circulating zine collection. All contributors will also receive a free copy! We will provide page templates so you can write or draw about broken hearts in a variety of ways!
