Free DSLR / Video Basics Class!

Are you an aspiring movie-maker? Would you like to know more about cameras?

Join Walter Wallace and the Oakland Public Library for a FREE beginner to intermediate level DSLR and video training. In this class you will learn the basics of how to operate a camera and manipulate lighting. We will also learn about using LUTS, understanding your cameras base ISO, and how to shoot video properly.

Walter Wallace is a digital media expert with a drive to be the change he wants to see in the world. He has been creating films with friends since high school and has been working hard to improve on his craft ever since. He created the Black Film Guild in order to educate aspiring filmmakers on the technical aspects of filmmaking. He currently has more than 20,000 subscribers on Youtube and has trained more than 600 people. As a member of Impact Hub he works with aspiring actors, filmmakers, and directors offering tips and training as it relates to digital media. Walter has also taught videography workshops aimed at developing fundamentals to the craft.
