Virtual Lawyers in the Library - Tax Attorney

tax paperwork spread on table

Make an appointment to talk with a tax attorney.

The Lawyers in the Library program is a free information and referral program held at different libraries and staffed by volunteer lawyers. Patrons make appointments to speak to lawyers one-on-one. If legal help is required, people are referred to other agencies.

The program is co-sponsored by the Alameda County Bar Association, Legal Access Alameda.

While our physical locations are closed, the tax attorney will be available on the fourth Friday of the month for 15-minute phone appointments.. To request an appointment, email or call 510-238-3134. Library staff will get back to you within three days.

NOTE: The attorney is NOT a tax preparer. The attorney can provide consultation regarding problems with tax collectors--IRS, FTB, Sales tax , property tax, cannabis tax, business tax--and other city, county, state and federal tax problems.
