Astronomy for Preschool Children and Their Families

Astronomy for Preschool Children and Their Families at Oakland Public Library

Join us for a series of hands-on storytime workshops about astronomy and space for pre-K children and their families, with a guest presenter from the Astronomical Society of the Pacific.

Sun & Shadows: Together with our friend Bear, we’ll experiment with light and shadows, and notice how the Sun moves across the sky throughout the day.

Visit the Moon: Take a trip to the Moon! You’ll make your own space helmet, put on a space suit, and visit the Moon to discover what it’s like there.

Build A Space Explorer: Design and build your own space explorer to visit another world.
