Thank you for your interest in supporting the Oakland Public Library's Summer Programs!

The Oakland Public Library offers eight-week reading programs for three age groups: Kids, Teens, and Adults. More than 12,000 people each summer (the majority are kids ages 0-12) participate in these programs. OPL provides a system for logging their daily reading and awarding prizes to those who complete the program.

The Summer Reading Programs are only possible thanks to generous community donations. Some of the most popular incentives are prizes donated by local businesses. We've been fortunate enough to receive gift certificats from restaurants and gyms, merchandise from shops, tickets and passes to cultural institutions, and one-of-a-kind experiences.
