Alameda County Law Library

The AC Law Library provides access to legal information materials to self-represented litigants, legal professionals, and others.
Item 1 of 4
The Lawyers in the Library program is a free information and referral program. In a one-on-one appointment, lawyers can answer questions on most legal topics.

If someone needs legal help, the lawyer refers them to a support agency.

Right now, we are able to offer a limited number of phone appointments.

Appointments are 10-15 minutes long. Due to limited availability, we can only make one appointment every 30 days per person or family.

To request an appointment, call (510) 238-3138 or email eAnswers@oaklandlibrary.org.

The program is co-sponsored by Alameda County Bar Association, Legal Access Alameda.
