OPL’s new Culturally Relevant Gardening project is a free urban seed project committed to increasing the capacity of our community to feed itself wholesome food. OPL seed libraries foster community resilience, self-reliance, and a culture of sharing. Visit our expanded seed libraries, explore our gardening resources and zines, and attend one of our many gardening events.
Anyone is welcome to come in and check out seeds - no library card required.
We ask that you let some plants go to seed after planting them and return some of these next generation seeds for others to borrow.
This project is supported in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
