The letter to Carrie Sterling discusses their friendship and mentions her husband George, and a Miss Katie Peterson. The letter to Miss Brewer mentions "The Colonel" and a Miss Christiansen. Also contains two biographical sketches and a newspaper photograph of Bierce.
