Bring your board and meetup with Skate Like a Girl at the 81st Ave. Branch for an informal skate session in the library parking lot. All ages, genders, and abilities welcome.

Join us for an introspective evening of powerful poetry read by the Oakland Poet Laureate, Dr. Ayodele "Wordslanger" Nzinga, from her collection Incandescent.

Saturdays in August, 2pm, 81st Avenue Branch
Black Cultural Zone presents a captivating curated collection of empowering and thought provoking films honoring Black resilience and resistance. Panel discussions follow each film.

Hoover, McClymonds, Clawson and Longfellow residents, past residents and visitors, we welcome your considered input as we plan for a new Hoover Branch Library.
