1) Settle in for storytime 🦄 at any of our branch libraries.
2) Snuggle up with a warm blanket and a riveting book 📖 from our staff 2023 favorite reads.
3) Get into some guided arts and crafts, like the Embroidery 101 workshop! 🧵
4) Kick off the launching of the Oakland Youth Poet Laureate application season with an alumni showcase! (Applications go live on January 5th, launching with a showcase from OYPL alumni, and close February 5th. Mark your calendars!) Learn more about the program here.
5) Explore new crafts, try new art or cooking techniques, and play games at the Brookfield branch! This event is hosted in their lush garden on days with good weather.
6) Finish your Winter Bingo card! Complete any 5 activities in a row before January 27, 2024 and win a prize book, courtesy of the Kenneth Rainin Foundation.
There are also still a few days to submit your recipe to our Community Cookbook and to tell us your favorite read of 2023.
