Pat Toney's path to librarianship was inspired when seeing the the author of her favorite book from her childhood, The Popcorn Book, Tomie dePaola, speak at the San Francisco Public Library's annual Effie E. Morris Lecture, opens a new window. Seeing DePaolo speak got Pat started towards receiving her MLIS degree, opens a new window through a special scholarship program.
Pat Toney is now a Children's Services Outreach Librarian at OPL. She promotes early learning through storytimes. Her personal interest in yoga and tarot has translated to programming for children, families, and teens.
