Noname Book Club

Your Library is excited to partner with the Noname Book Club to help you access its Monthly Picks for free! All you need is a library card (which is also free).

Founded by Chicago rapper Noname in August 2019, the book club makes reading selections each month to discuss among an online and in-person community of readers. Meetups are held in cities across the country from Los Angeles to New York City to Washington DC.

Described as “reading material for the homies,” the Noname Book Club highlights titles that speak on human conditions in critical and original ways while encouraging members to support authors of color, Black-owned bookstores, and public libraries.

Monthly selections will be shared in the lists below. Let us know if you have any issues accessing items or your account by emailing us at eAnswers@oaklandlibrary.org
