Ellen Graebe says, "I wrote this around the time my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. The house I grew up in had been sold a few years earlier and I was remembering my childhood there. The huge black walnut tree in the backyard was magical and one of my favorite places to read or to daydream.
