Noodle Mania is a collaborative zine-making audio project that incorporates digitally recorded audio interviews, sound bites, ambiance, and sound effects into real life drawing & doodling parties. Issue 5 of Noodle Mania was published in December 2016, for the East Bay Alternative Book and Zinefest (EBABZ). This issue is dedicated to Ara Jo. She helped build things that matter. She was a volunteering member and gallery director at the all-volunteer-run non-profit Rock Paper Scissors Collective, which has brought amazing exhibits, performances, readings and friendships to my life and the lives of countless others. She was also the founder of my favorite zinefest--EBABZ. May the hard work and creative spirit of Ara Jo inspire all of us to keep the SF Bay DIY art scene thriving.
