Zines

Did you know we have over 700+ zines and growing?
The Main Library is home to our circulating zine collection where you can read and borrow zines from the Bay Area and beyond exploring topics personal, political, and poetic.
You can find our zines in two places: the adult collection is on the first floor near the Computer Lab and the young adult collection is on the second floor in the TeenZone.
You can also find our collection online in the catalog; select "Availability by Location" to view titles:

What's a Zine?
Pronounced "zeen," zines are DIY mini booklets made by collaging text and art together to share personal stories and interests often underrepresented by mainstream media. The best thing about zines is that anyone can make them – they're easy, cheap, and can explore literally any topic or theme. No rules, no filters, no algorithm – just pure pre-internet vibes, made by you because you love what you love.
