OPL does not charge fines for most overdue materials. Tools have a late fee of $1 to $5 per day, based on tool’s value.
Please return library materials on time.
You will be charged to replace items that are more than 30 days overdue. If you return the items in good condition after that, you do not have to pay the replacement charge.
Lost or Damaged Items
- If you lose a Library item, you will be charged a replacement fee.
- If you return a Library item damaged, you will be charged a fee. It will be less than the cost of the item.
- Fees are payable at any Oakland Public Library location by cash or check.
- You can also pay fees online.
