Are you a local teacher or educator? Then you need to get yourself a free OPL Teacher Card and take advantage of the special benefits available for you.
With a Teacher Card you can:
- Request a class visit from an OPL Librarian
- Borrow print books for six weeks instead of three
- Up to 30 holds at a time, instead of 15
These cards aren't just limited to teachers! If you work as an educator, administrator, librarian, childcare or afterschool program provider in Oakland, Emeryville, or Piedmont, you can get a Teacher Card.
Head to your local branch or fill out the online application to get your Teacher Card. Make sure you have a recent paystub or proof of employment with you!
