Today is Gonna be a Great Day: A Phineas and Ferb Theme Song Parody

Imagine if Phineas and Ferb, opens a new window [opens video link of theme song] grew up to be librarians and hosted OPL's summer reading program.  What song would they write to promote all the fun events we are having?  Maybe it would sound something like this:  

There are 104 days of summer vacation

Then school comes along just to end it.

So the annual problem for all generations

Is finding a good way to spend it.

Like maybe…

Holding a huge bug

Or watching the circus

Or stretching as tall as a tower

Watch something appear that didn't exist

(how did he do that?) 

Or reading about superpowers

Surfing the Internet

Playing Roblox

Or shrinking all the things

(that toaster is hot!) 

when you're launching a catapult

and painting shoelaces

You’ll be glad that you came

(to the library)

As you can see

There’s a whole lot of stuff to do

Before school starts this fall

Although that would be the end of the song, I'm positive your librarians Phineas and Ferb fan would also encourage you to grab a summer reading log,  jump in, and seize the day. Because this could possibly be the best summer ever!
