OYPL Judging Interest Form

Each year the Oakland Youth Poet Laureate program has a panel of five judges representing a diverse group of experts from literacy, arts, and educational organizations as well as local celebrity authors, artists, and activists.

We strive to have a panel full of judges as different from each other as possible. The more varied our judges are the more varied our Finalists will be!

If you are interested in being a future judge, have a relationship to Oakland, believe strongly in youth voices, and like to read and listen to poetry, please fill out the form and tell us more!

Once we receive your form, we'll add you to our list of potential judges and will reach out if you are a fit for a future panel.
