Seed Lending and Gardening

OPL's seed libraries and gardening programs are completely free. These initiatives foster community resilience, self-reliance, and a culture of sharing

Visit our branches to explore our seed libraries, gardening resources, zines and attend one of our many gardening events.

Anyone is welcome to come in and check out seeds - no library card required.

Try saving your own seeds,, opens a new window let some plants go to seed. Return them and share with the community.

This project is supported by the Friends of the Oakland Public Library.
